We made it to the end of this first Volume, with Issue 1 thru 3. It has been thrilling, interesting and surprising as we rolled with the punches. Our dynamic staff has the right amount of investment due to our continued devotion to Hekate, Our Queen.
Looking ahead, the journal will be encompassing more than just praises and devotion to the Invincible Queen, as the realms of Hekate are many. From the beginning, Katabasis is primarily concerned with travels into the Chthonic realms, underworlds and liminal spaces. It would be advantageous and a better service to our community to offer opportunities to read from a broader range of topics including psychopomps, necromancy, chthonic deities and spirits including the dark aesthetics accompanying such journeys.
Katabasis would like to welcome new contributors during our off-season by continually accepting submissions. As time moves and devotion inspires, share thoughts, research, visions and experiences through the publication. Honour and fortitude are gifts to our readers; may we continue to bless in Her name. We plan to return at the next Winter Solstice with Volume 2 with the first deadline being October 31, Samhain/Beltane.
